Rumba Rapids at Thorpe Park is a river rapids ride - circular eight-person boats on a meandering watercourse with waterfalls, geysers and rapids segments. Originally opened in 1987 and refurbished multiple times since. Total ride duration around 4 minutes; expect to leave damp rather than soaked, depending on where you sit.
Queues are typically moderate - 20-40 minutes on busy days. The exit walkway includes drying booths if you want to avoid spending the day wet. Like the other water rides, Rumba is closed in cold weather; the park usually winterises it from late October.
