About Storm Chaser
About Storm Chaser
Storm Chaser at Paultons Park is a Mack Rides spinning coaster that opened in April 2021 as the headline ride of the £12 million Tornado Springs area. Four-rider cars rotate freely on a layout with a 20-metre (65ft) chain lift hill, reaching 60 km/h (37 mph) over a roughly one-minute ride. The layout is a clone of Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's Berry Farm in California. Theming is built around a 1950s American Midwest storm-chasing town.
Storm Chaser queues are typically 20-40 minutes on busy days. The free spin means each ride feels different, and the 1.0m height restriction keeps it accessible to most children. Pair it with the other rides around Tornado Springs for a full circuit of the area.
Storm Chaser has averaged about 9 minutes of wait over recent weeks, and is typically busiest around 13:00 and quietest around 09:00. Over the last two weeks it has been open around 97% of the park's operating hours. It's typically quietest on Thursdays and busiest on Mondays.
