About F.L.Y.
About F.L.Y.
F.L.Y. at Phantasialand is the world's longest launched flying coaster, opened in 2020 in the Rookburgh steampunk-themed area. Riders are loaded seated and rotated to face-down (flying) position only after the launch. Track length 1,236 metres, three launches, multiple inversions including a unique stall above the area's rooftops. Ride duration about three minutes.
F.L.Y.'s theming is some of the most ambitious at any European park, with the entire Rookburgh area built around the ride and the connected hotel. Queues commonly exceed 90 minutes on busy days because load time is slow. Single-rider queue is occasionally available. Worth queueing during off-peak hours just for the area atmosphere.
F L Y has averaged about 26 minutes of wait over recent weeks, and is typically busiest around 09:00 and quietest around 16:00. Over the last two weeks it has been open around 82% of the park's operating hours. It's typically quietest on Wednesdays and busiest on Saturdays.
