About Nemesis Reborn
About Nemesis Reborn
Nemesis Reborn is the reimagined version of Alton Towers' iconic Nemesis, which closed in 2022 for a complete track and theming refurbishment and reopened in 2024. The original opened in 1994 and pioneered the inverted coaster format in Europe. Reborn keeps the same legendary layout - four inversions through a blood-red gorge - but with a fresh storyline, smoother track and updated trains. Top speed 50 mph, ride time around 80 seconds.
Nemesis Reborn is consistently the busiest ride at Alton Towers, with queue times routinely passing 60 minutes on weekends. Ride it at park opening or in the final hour before close. The queue line itself is part of the experience, so factor in the theming if you have time to spare.
Nemesis Reborn has averaged about 12 minutes of wait over recent weeks, and is typically busiest around 11:00 and quietest around 19:00. Over the last two weeks it has been open around 97% of the park's operating hours. It's typically quietest on Wednesdays and busiest on Saturdays.
