About Nemesis Inferno
About Nemesis Inferno
Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe Park is a Bolliger and Mabillard inverted coaster that opened in 2003, sister ride to Alton Towers' original Nemesis but with a tropical volcanic theme. Riders sit with feet dangling and the track passes through four inversions including a vertical loop, cobra roll and corkscrew. Top speed 50 mph, ride duration about 90 seconds.
Inferno's queues are usually moderate (30-50 minutes mid-day) - shorter than Hyperia, longer than Colossus. The location near the front of the park means it gets a hit at opening; for shorter waits, ride mid-afternoon when the crowd has migrated to the back of the park.
Nemesis Inferno has averaged about 16 minutes of wait over recent weeks, and is typically busiest around 10:00 and quietest around 20:00. Over the last two weeks it has been open around 93% of the park's operating hours. It's typically quietest on Wednesdays and busiest on Saturdays.
