About Hyperia
About Hyperia
Hyperia at Thorpe Park is the UK's tallest and fastest roller coaster, opened in 2024 by Mack Rides. The Mack hyper coaster reaches 236 feet and 80 mph, with a 95-degree first drop - vertical-plus - and four inversions including an Immelmann, a wave turn and a stall element. Track length is just under a kilometre and ride duration around two and a half minutes.
Hyperia is currently Thorpe Park's biggest crowd draw and queue times routinely exceed 90 minutes on weekends and bank holidays. Single-rider line is available and saves significant time when offered. Aim for park opening or late evening - the back row delivers the strongest airtime, the front the best view across the resort.
Hyperia has averaged about 37 minutes of wait over recent weeks, and is typically busiest around 10:00 and quietest around 20:00. Over the last two weeks it has been open around 89% of the park's operating hours. It's typically quietest on Tuesdays and busiest on Fridays.
